I think that older Sato was a victim of Mei's cowardness, Mei loved brother but he went out with sister because he can't date a man, brother assumed and had to watch it always in pain, sister died and Mei never said anything, Sato brother was desperately trying to bury his love for Mei with someone..... Akira was a son of a bitch, if he were gentle and caring with the brake up, Misato wouldn't be so hurt.

Poor Misato, look at his eyes, he's obviously been crying... he falls in love with the person he has been trying to use to get revenge on the person who stole his first love, only to discover in the prequel that Mei loved the other "Sato," Satoshi, all along... Mei knows after seeing the poor, lonely Misato that he has ruined things, and now Misato feels all alone, miserable, and with nobody to turn to, because he's still with Mei because he loves him, even though he believes Mei still loves Satoshi... and (according to my interpretation) Mei realizes that his love for Satoshi is dying as he starts to love Misato... and is now just waiting so that Misato can realize that Mei does love him, and they can actually start a proper relationship.

I dont understand and confuse about the story line....=='

4. OMG October 3, 2014 6:09 pm

It was deep. I had to reread it again to understand. 'My love for him has died' was not referring to the new but old. Waiting and staying because he hopes for a new love. wow.

beautiful.. really beautiful. I don't even hate akira and the other sato, the other sato probably went through a lot of shit as well considering the thing about his sister. I hope they will also have their story.

I don't care about the evelopment of the story (it was so twisted)...
All i know thai mei started to love the new sato and sato (new) love him back... that's all.. happy ending!!!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but u got it wrong. Kei says that his love for him (the current Sato) has died, however he will stay with him. It's a bittersweet story/ending.

I think you're wrong!i've read this manga many times over..and from what I understand, mei was referring to the old sato, when he said that his love has died!now he wants to stay with the lonely and sad new sato, until their love bloomed..he realize how much he hurt the new sato(coz from the start he was just using him or for short they've just using each other)that's why he felt guilty, and said I'm sorry a lot of times!
From my point of view it's not a happy ending kind, but I think it's a painful but sweet ending!just saying:)

if mei love misato why he using (satoshi's nickname) this is very cruel.

• Katt September 7, 2014 9:30 pm

I think it's because he's been so engrossed with the name Sato, that it has ended up taking a whole new meaning as "the person I'm in love with". He's so confused that at one point he's not even sure which Sato is the one he's referring to. I really dislike it when someone over-analyzes things to make metaphors and to make them look "deep", but I think that the twisted parts of this story have been placed neatly. Good work, really and really fitting with Madarame Hiro's art :D

So is he not in love with him or is he in love with him?

• Tsubasa.Chan July 4, 2014 11:47 pm

actually i think that both MiSato and Mei are in love with each other. But only Mei has confessed his love (read The Prequel) and he's still Waiting for Misato to understand and trust him completely. Misato, instead, is trying to hide his love for Mei because he thinks that Mei is still in love with The other sato (twin older brother)

Hope this helped you to understand more :)

ah~ that makes more sense. but i don't think Mei ever confessed his love to misato? i think like Misato, Mei has kept quite about his love for him, because he thinks Misato still thinks, that he is in love with the twin brother Satoshi.

9. Potatomato June 17, 2014 6:35 am

I love this twisting love between them. Used and being used. Misato used Mei to get revenge toolder Sato for stealing Akira (his first man) away from him because Misato noticed that the one that older Sato truly love is Mei, and using that he tricked Mei into his sick love trap. On the other hand, Mei accepted Misato's love even he knows that that was only for payback for stealing his (i meant Misato) lover (Akira). But Mei still continues to love Misato in order to forget about his love for older Sato that he never revealed but somehow Misato noticed (in another manga Kyou anata ni Wakare wo Tsugemasu) and flee out of jealousy because he noticed that somehow he actually really fell deeply in love with Mei. But Mei ran after him and confessed his love was only for the one and only Misato...the new sato. But unfortunately, both of them still felt unsecured with their new profound love because of both of their confession of used and being used. I have to re dead these two mangas to actually understand. This is from my point of view, but if im wrong...please please please...EXPLAIN to me!! Fufufu

• Potatomato June 17, 2014 6:38 am

I meant RE READ...not RE DEAD* fufufufu dang auto correct.

• OMG October 3, 2014 6:15 pm

Basically you got the story right. It was a bittersweet progress they are having but the weren't insecure but instead, they didn't realise there is love between them.

Everyone is hating Akira whom I hate too. But more the Akira I hate both of the twin Sato! The siter Sato for selfishly dieing simply cause Mei was in love with her brother and the brother Sato for stealing Misato love purposely even though I don't know the reason why!!! Over all I want brother Sato feel the pain that Misato have to go though!!! I want every want including Akira to get tire of him and then throw him away like how he made Akira throw away Misato!!! I want that bastard to feel the pain>~<!!!!! As for Akira he can die after dumping brother Sato...also I want Mei to fall in love with Misato so much to the point where he won't even give a flying fuck about brother Sato!!!

• Anonymous June 30, 2014 6:30 pm

You read my heart! I HATE BROTHER SATO (Satoshi) so MUCH!!!!!!!! He is an asshole. FELT REALLY GOOD when brother Sato went and asked MEI about dating Misato and had to walk off with a broken heart! I WANT A SEQUEL after this SEQUEL for when their love sprout!

11. Tsubaki May 17, 2014 12:24 am

god damn those feels...i love this...LOVE!

12. purple May 14, 2014 7:24 am

Im still confused?

• animerocks May 16, 2014 9:37 am

you are not alone, but I think I'm starting to get a clue after rereading. I hope Twin-Sato and Akira totally make each other fricken miserable. Akira is a piece of crap for how he broke up with Misato. Really, hate him. Hope he gets hit by a car and dies and Twin-Sato moves away and leaves Mei and MIsato alone to love each other. It's so cruel to take someone's lover just to play some game (ie, Twin-Sato starting this ugly thing.)

13. juli April 30, 2014 6:51 am

Yes Mei! Grow some love for the new Sato and then give us a smexy sequel of this one >_>

I love the oneshots. I'm really glad that Mei noticed the new Sato and is starting to love him like he deserves. And we all know that Sato is already in love of Mei from the prequel :3

• animerocks May 16, 2014 9:37 am

I really want a happy ending sequel--one more! Where Akira drops dead, hopefully.

For those who was quite confused, lemme explain a bit. Hihi. There are 3 Sato. 1st Sato is the younger twin sister of 2nd Sato. 2nd Sato the older twin brother who is in love with the curly hair and the 3rd Sato is the current bf of the curly hair. 1st Sato died because of the curly hair. 2nd Sato wanted to have the curly guy but he can't have him even though that the curly guy loves him back. The 3rd Sato is the bf of the curly guy because he wants to take revenge to the 2nd Sato for taking his first love. For short, 3rd Sato is just using the curly guy until he realises that he's really inlove with him. That also goes to the curly guy. He realizes that he already fell for the 3rd Sato and moved on to the 1st&2nd Sato. There xD

read Kyou Anata ni Wakare wo Tsugemasu, then read this. and yes it still is a little confusing but less so after reading the other one.

maybe mei like original sato(boy), but when the girl died he feels guilty~then he forgot his love for sato~
it just the mangaka make more complicate with words in this manga~
but if the mangaka not make complicate words, it would be more good~

20. Peach (Question!) August 31, 2013 11:41 pm

Ok so I read both of the part and got that the whole new sato and mei's relationship was based on using and being used BUT then new sato falls in love with him SO what about mei? This is what I don't get cuz mei says "by embracing your love (new sato) my love for him has died" but then on last page he says 'I believe our unrecoverable love will one day sprout' so is he saying that maybe one day he will come to love new sato? (Saying that he isn't currently in love?), or that both will let go of their guilt and truly fall in love?, OR he hopes that both of them will get back together with whom they originally fell in love (meaning akira and twin sato). ? Sorry its a long post! I just want to figure this thing out! ( ⊙ ~ ⊙ )

• What? W-what? September 2, 2013 4:41 am

i'm fairly sure that this oneshot from mei's point of view means that mei is helplessly waiting for the both of them (him and new sato) to get over past tragic loves. starting from page 23 mei says, "having only noticed, i suppose it's too late." here mei is talking about how he has just noticed the small amount of love that sato is starting to feel for him, but when mei sees how helpless sato is ('resignation', 'profoundly despairing', 'nowhere to turn, no one to help', etc) mei feels a new kind of guilt and the urge to protect new sato and their new love. and mei feels that by accepting and nurturing the new sato's love for him, then his love for old sato will die (or is already dead). finally,
(because in the beginning he was only with new sato so that he could help with new sato's revenge on akira, so that he could feel better about girl-sato by thinking he'd making new sato feel better) he realises that it was wrong to use new sato for his own redemption and that from now on with new sato's love, he will get over his dead love for both old satos, and wait patiently for his happy love with new sato to start because their new love is 'irrecoverable' and is a last chance for both of them. and he hopes when new sato finds out about mei's trick, then hopefully new sato will forgive him (which he kind of does at the end of the first oneshot)...such a beautiful story with really great wording...though confusing..Hope this helped!

• cupid's lover September 24, 2013 2:26 am

Maybe he means that the love he had before has died since he is with the new Sato and even though it started out as a way to get over the pain of his old love this new love will sprout and they'll become happy? maybe? plus the one Mei was originally with "died" so how can they get back together? i'm sorry if my post is confusing but I'm still trying to figure it out as well and I thought this might help whoever is confused also find the meaning behind the authors words. :)

• Dee Dee December 24, 2013 2:23 am

I totally agree with "What? W-what?" 's post (OMG, can't believe I just wrote that) .... It makes perfect sense, but honestly, I intially felt like what Mei was feeling was more pity that love (no matter how small) for new Sato.. And really, Sato IS very pathetic, it's so sad that he had to go through all of that! And heck, just like he said in the prequel, Sato (old) COULD have had ANY other person, why did it have to be Akira. But then again, I think Sato (new) should count his blessings, even though he doesn't realize it now, because Akira was a Grade-A douche bag. He and Sato (old) really deserve each other.

• Ake March 7, 2014 1:15 am

Going on the prequel, Misato was opening his heart to Mei. Consequently, after going to break up Mei, Misato figures out that Mei was also using him as replacement for Satoshi! Feeling hopeless, Misato hearts starts to close up again and decides to cling on Mei due to his helplessness. Misato decides to not fall in love deeper with Mei like he did before with Akira. Since his love for Mei is much stronger than Akira, he'll only experience even more pain when Satoshi confesses his love to Mei. Thus, it explains the unrecoverable love.

At this point in the sequel, Mei is coming to terms to who he actually loves which is Misato. However, it's too late since Misato discovers that he was being used by Mei and closes his heart in to not get hurt anymore. Mei is now full guilt of figuring out how much he loss Misato's trust and made him sad. In his mind, Mei wishes that Misato will slowly realize that the Sato which Mei loves is him and a new gentle love will sprout.

You are far off with you idea of going back with Akira and Satoshi but it's Misato's idea only. I can sense disappointment in both of them if they do since Misato doesn't love Akira anymore. He want him to be more sincere which was not. Akira didn't care about Misato feelings.

• Ninja BEE April 8, 2014 2:15 am

I would have to agree with Ake on this one because thats what I got out of it when I read this manga as well. Mei begins to apologize to Sato (new) because in Sato's (new) eyes, he thinks he's still being used by him as a substitute, but he says with Mei because he loves him. Its just hard for him and he's hurting, feeling that he's lonely in a relationship where he believes he isn't loved. So on and so forth with what Ake was saying. I'm just adding a little more detail i guess. Hopefully Ake agrees lol unless I'm messing up your explain with my input but thats how I understood it.
