For those who was quite confused, lemme explain a bit. Hihi. There are 3 Sato. 1st Sato is the younger twin sister of 2nd Sato. 2nd Sato the older twin brother who is in love with the curly hair and the 3rd Sato is the current bf of the curly hair. 1st Sato died because of the curly hair. 2nd Sato wanted to have the curly guy but he can't have him even though that the curly guy loves him back. The 3rd Sato is the bf of the curly guy because he wants to take revenge to the 2nd Sato for taking his first love. For short, 3rd Sato is just using the curly guy until he realises that he's really inlove with him. That also goes to the curly guy. He realizes that he already fell for the 3rd Sato and moved on to the 1st&2nd Sato. There xD

maybe mei like original sato(boy),but when the girl died he feels guilty~then he forgot his love for sato~
it just the mangaka make more complicate with words in this manga~
but if the mangaka not make complicate words, it would be more good~

Ok so I read both of the part and got that the whole new sato and mei's relationship was based on using and being used BUT then new sato falls in love with him SO what about mei? This is what I don't get cuz mei says "by embracing your love (new sato) my love for him has died" but then on last page he says 'I believe our unrecoverable love will one day sprout' so is he saying that maybe one day he will come to love new sato? (Saying that he isn't currently in love?), or that both will let go of their guilt and truly fall in love?, OR he hopes that both of them will get back together with whom they originally fell in love (meaning akira and twin sato). ? Sorry its a long post! I just want to figure this thing out! ( ⊙ ~ ⊙ )

    • What? W-what? said at September 2, 2013 4:41 am

i'm fairly sure that this oneshot from mei's point of view means that mei is helplessly waiting for the both of them (him and new sato) to get over past tragic loves. starting from page 23 mei says, "having only noticed, i suppose it's too late." here mei is talking about how he has just noticed the small amount of love that sato is starting to feel for him, but when mei sees how helpless sato is ('resignation', 'profoundly despairing', 'nowhere to turn, no one to help', etc) mei feels a new kind of guilt and the urge to protect new sato and their new love. and mei feels that by accepting and nurturing the new sato's love for him, then his love for old sato will die (or is already dead). finally,
(because in the beginning he was only with new sato so that he could help with new sato's revenge on akira, so that he could feel better about girl-sato by thinking he'd making new sato feel better) he realises that it was wrong to use new sato for his own redemption and that from now on with new sato's love, he will get over his dead love for both old satos, and wait patiently for his happy love with new sato to start because their new love is 'irrecoverable' and is a last chance for both of them. and he hopes when new sato finds out about mei's trick, then hopefully new sato will forgive him (which he kind of does at the end of the first oneshot)...such a beautiful story with really great wording...though confusing..Hope this helped!

Maybe he means that the love he had before has died since he is with the new Sato and even though it started out as a way to get over the pain of his old love this new love will sprout and they'll become happy? maybe? plus the one Mei was originally with "died" so how can they get back together? i'm sorry if my post is confusing but I'm still trying to figure it out as well and I thought this might help whoever is confused also find the meaning behind the authors words. :)

I totally agree with "What? W-what?" 's post (OMG, can't believe I just wrote that) .... It makes perfect sense, but honestly, I intially felt like what Mei was feeling was more pity that love (no matter how small) for new Sato.. And really, Sato IS very pathetic, it's so sad that he had to go through all of that! And heck, just like he said in the prequel, Sato (old) COULD have had ANY other person, why did it have to be Akira. But then again, I think Sato (new) should count his blessings, even though he doesn't realize it now, because Akira was a Grade-A douche bag. He and Sato (old) really deserve each other.

Going on the prequel, Misato was opening his heart to Mei. Consequently, after going to break up Mei, Misato figures out that Mei was also using him as replacement for Satoshi! Feeling hopeless, Misato hearts starts to close up again and decides to cling on Mei due to his helplessness. Misato decides to not fall in love deeper with Mei like he did before with Akira. Since his love for Mei is much stronger than Akira, he'll only experience even more pain when Satoshi confesses his love to Mei. Thus, it explains the unrecoverable love.

At this point in the sequel, Mei is coming to terms to who he actually loves which is Misato. However, it's too late since Misato discovers that he was being used by Mei and closes his heart in to not get hurt anymore. Mei is now full guilt of figuring out how much he loss Misato's trust and made him sad. In his mind, Mei wishes that Misato will slowly realize that the Sato which Mei loves is him and a new gentle love will sprout.

You are far off with you idea of going back with Akira and Satoshi but it's Misato's idea only. I can sense disappointment in both of them if they do since Misato doesn't love Akira anymore. He want him to be more sincere which was not. Akira didn't care about Misato feelings.

I would have to agree with Ake on this one because thats what I got out of it when I read this manga as well. Mei begins to apologize to Sato (new) because in Sato's (new) eyes, he thinks he's still being used by him as a substitute, but he says with Mei because he loves him. Its just hard for him and he's hurting, feeling that he's lonely in a relationship where he believes he isn't loved. So on and so forth with what Ake was saying. I'm just adding a little more detail i guess. Hopefully Ake agrees lol unless I'm messing up your explain with my input but thats how I understood it.

I like the way there is this little light of hope at the end of this dark depressing tunnel.

  10. LILO said at August 2, 2013 1:52 am

Dang...this is wickedly twisted...so Mei loved the twin-boy at first (the girls was saying "Why can't it be me?") then the girl commits suicide and Mei feels extremely guilty he can't love twin-boy sato properly so he lets new Sato use him so twin-boy sato get away from Mei (twin-boy sato says "Why can't it be me?") New Sato's revenge fails because he falls in love again and it has to be with (the most undesicive person in my opinion) Mei. And etc etc etc.........so twisted ugh my brain is hurting however I help but to love this mangaka and her amazing works <3

i want to know more about the boy twin sato. I wanna know if he actually approached Akira(from the prequel) while knowing that Akira was with the other sato. If so, then I am glad Mei didn't choose him in the end >.>

Pretty sad showing how painful love can be and that we don't always end up with the 'right' person and we might have to make do with what we've built up and destroyed. Its confusing but once you get it, its pretty depressing with how none of them really got what they wanted. But thats life.

  17. Yu said at March 3, 2013 1:51 pm

Waaaa.... Such sad and confusing love. I don't like this kind of relashionship, it makes you heart heavy and ache in endless pain TT.TT. Even though it kind of have a happy ending, it still quite painful for the individual characters to move on with their life... Cause no matter how much they try to forget thier painful past they still loved that person at one point and that love was the one which drove them to do what they did even mean hurting thier own current love such as Mei using prequel-Sato to get over his guilt or prequel-Sato using Mei to get revenge on boy-Sato for stealing his lover OR boy-Sato using Akira to make Mei jealous and then later on to move foward
after being rejected by Mei. But overall I think prequel-Sato is the most pitiful character as first was he was cheated of of his love (Akira) whom he loved extremely by a fucking boy (Boy-Sato) who didn't even love him (Akira) but only seduced his own wicked purpose. And then when when the prequel-Sato tries to get revenge one that stupid boy for stealing his lover by going out with the person he like which is Mei he was once again got hurt because of that stupid fucking boy as Mei too was using him to distance from his childhood love. I like what the heck!!!! What did he do to deserve this fuking shit because of one stupid boy!!! I mean he was just a normal and innocent boy who was deeply in love with lover just like any other. So why the fuck did those fucking people ( Boy-Sato & Mei) targeted him and his lover out of all the bad people in the world!!!! It's just messed up. To tell the truth I extremely hate the sibling Sato!!! I mean why couldn't the girl-Sato just be happy with seeing her brother and bestfriend happy togather because now due to her idoitic action no 1 or 2 or 3 but 4 people's life was destroyed and messed just because her love couldn't be returned!!! So messed up!!!! But anyway I enjoy the story a bit I guess...:)

  18. Losi said at February 23, 2013 4:33 pm

Okay here is how it goes. Both twins were in love with Mei but Mei fell in love with the Boy/Twin-Sato. Girl-Sato figured it out and the same night Mei was going to confess his love to her brother the girl committed suicide. Then Mei turned his back on Boy/Twin-Sato because he felt responsible for his sisters suicide. Then Mei got with the prequel-Sato knowing that he was being used for revenge againist Twin/boy-Sato, Mei was using Prequel-Sato's revenge to push Boy/Twin-Sato further away. Their all depressed because none of them get what they set out for. Prequel-Sato wanted revenge but instead ended up in love and open to the possibility of being hurt again. Mei wanted to let himself be used to drive a final wedge between him and the Twin/Boy-Sato by hurting him enough to ruin any future chance to be together and thereby "disrespecting" the Twin/Girl-satos memory but instead ended up killing his feelings for the Boy/Twin-Sato. Mei is not actually speaking to the Prequel-Sato he's hugging he's apologizing to the Twin/Boy-Sato (who's still in love with Mei) because instead of giving Twin/Boy a reason to hate him and as a penance for the girls suicide he fell in love with prequel-Sato. The last line about their love coming again I think is basically that he'd being staying with prequel-Sato because he feels that they will be able to eventually recover from the painful relationships (Prequel-Sato/Akira, and Mei/Twin-Satos) that started the whole thing and be able to really love and be happy again in their new unexpected/unwanted love.
I'd also like to say that overly poetic stories are a pain in the ass. I actually had to put the end of both stories up to compare to figure out WTF was going on. Really she shoulda stuck with just the first story and left alone.

That was the little point that confuse me.. but i guess its clear up... I understood after reading both story about mei and his problems with the twins.. what got me confuse when he was saying how there was always this lonely boy (his current lover) is waiting for him... and we know that he is in love with his current lover... but than he went on about his love dying... now I understand he change who he was talking about... geez this story really is annoying..
I wanna read more about Mei and the his current (lover) sato too

    • 3.3 said at July 20, 2013 1:47 am

No there was no 'real' Sato. He couldn't decide in his heart who he loves more so he called both the twins sato and began to feel guilty when the twins didn't want to share him amongst eachother. The guilt after one of their deaths was so bad that he couldn't go back and try to fix things but only move forward and make an even bigger mess by finding someone that reminds him of the satos. I know it's weird and messy.
