Soah is a girl from a small village that has suffered a long drought. In order to appease the Water God the village people must sacrifice a bride to him. The Water God (Habaek) welcomes Soah as his new bride and brings her to his Water Kingdom where her new life begins.
However Soah still has much to learn about the World of the Gods, where appearances are never as they seem, and trust can never be so naively placed. Soon she finds herself entangled in a web of lies, deceit, love, and betrayal. What happened to Habaek's previous brides, and who is the mysterious Mui who only appears at night?
