Woah, this is such a masterpiece ! The old-school mangas are really different from the new ones. Each characters had so many layers, they were all complex, the dialogues were interesting and poetic. It was very difficult to understand at first (mainly because of their names and similar looks) but this was a great read.
man I thought he was really going to leave him they had to wait till the last second to turn back. I was reading it thinking no it can't end like this. I also hate the girlfriend. What kind of woman makes her man choose her over his friends and let's them get beat up.
I loved this, the MC'S were absolutely adorable together I am glad they realized what they felt for each other and finally set things right for their friends. This is the 2nd time that I have read this story and I really enjoyed this just as much as the first time. Even though all of the characters were unclear about their feelings for each other and misunderstood what the other felt for someone else this did not give me anxiety or make feel anything negative about the story (except for the rape) which is such a rare thing because their are too many yaoi stories that set me off so, this was refreshing and easy to read. 100/100 ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
the plot may seem all over the place but its really not, just has a lot of layers but it makes sense. The two main characters are pretty-well written, and this has some pretty impressive dialogue that makes them feel real and really shows their chemistry. It is also FULL of angst and includes rape that isn't glamorized in my opinion, and really shows the effects of that trauma on the characters. What really got to me in the story is how human it is, how both main characters have their flaws and how their relationship is far from perfect. The main characters feel like real people, with their own complicated wants and how they struggle with voicing them out, but they try their best to voice them out for each other. I came not knowing what I was getting into, thought I was reading a steamy delinquent manga, and way more than I was expecting and sobbed my eyes out. It's funny sometimes, romantic, and tragic, but it was beautiful at the same time. Fucking good manga for sure.
People who are confused over whether Miki still likes Kashiwa are idiots. He needed to be saved by Kashiwa once because in the past while he got raped, he kept hoping that somehow Kashiwa would save him (that's why when he's having PTSD he looks for Kashiwa) but when they kiss and then when later Miki asks him you wanna fuck (also having sex was a coping mechanism for him, which is why he was with all those strangers) they actually figure out that Miki doesn't like Kashiwa like that. It's just a bestfriend feeling that he confused because of everything that happened to him. (Your kiss put me off/I don't wanna see your dick) its made clear that Miki confused admiration for love and that scene was written specifically so Miki and Kashiwa could both get that. Plus Chiaki is a dick sometimes too. Both of them were faulty individuals who tried and got over their insecurities to finally be together at the end. Appreciate how much nuance and humanity this story has, instead of shitting on any one character without understanding why they behaved that way
