Her father died. That's what I was told and she's having a hard time writing.
This is very old news. She wrote in Viewfinder vol 7 back in summer 2013 that she had gotten better thanks to the support of her fans, that she realized she should've changed her ideas, and that she wouldn't lose sight of her objectives again. So this is definetively not the reason. She did have a hard time writing because of his death, but this was quite a while ago.
I think I remember reading that she was also sick for a while... but I could be wrong.
Is there some sort of mangaka magazine you guys are reading this from? Cuz unless it's translated, I can't read it, and unfortunately I can only be in the know of what someone tells me second hand. I try to read all the artist notes, but I did not see this one. Well, obviously she's having a rough time with something because viewfinder is like this too. Maybe has too many projects going on... Speculationsssssssss.
I translated the note from my french copy of volume 7 that was released months ago, and she was talking about the matter. It's a quick translation but french is my first language so it's all good. It's not so great english grammar wise I guess but it's not too bad either, I just didn't want to change the meanings without noticing since I'm no great english translator:

What is she trying to accomplish with these short chapters? Suspense? If anything, it's getting *slightly* annoying. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just giving my earnest opinion.
