The way I see it, if Kaneki is dead then Amon should be dead, if Amon is alive then Kaneki should be alive. The story should have both of the main characters of neither of them.
I could see Kanou experimenting on Amon, and Arima using Kaneki for kagune. Kaneki may still be alive, just being forced to lose his kagune.
It never told us the process of turning a kagune to a quinque, so it's slightly possible that Kaneki's kagune is being used to produce more quinques. But I don't think it'd be possible for a ghoul to function properly or stay alive after losing their whole kagune. We saw how messed up Rize became when they kept regenerating/taking her kagune to produce more half ghouls.
Since everyone's leaning towards the possibility that Amon and Kaneki may still be alive, what do you think about the possibility of Seidou being alive? I mean, we never actually saw Amon and Seidou being killed, rather, we saw them moments before they were supposedly killed (though the CCG report doesn't lie :( ), so what are your opinions?
I honestly want him to be alive.
