Really? You want to go there? Orihime is a rather annoying character. She is most often portrayed as an empty headed girl (who supposedly is smart - but there is not much to back that up) with a 'princess needs rescuing' complex ... it portrays females in a rather poor light. (I really dislike helpless female characters)

suddenly my bad day just revive with your comment... haha... everytime I watch Bleach, I keep thinking why she doesn't engage in any brutal fight alone and die without anybody have chance to save her... I don't mind she die instead another shinigami... too much?? sorry about that...

Go where? I don't hang with narrow minded readers who think that a female characters that shows sensitivity or needs help to be weak.

People who have stupid opinions should not use the fact that they have an opinion as an excuse to be stupid. *

The author said this indirectly before, Orihime is a support-based character. Her powers are unique and the only part of her power that could be used as an attack, Tsubaki, was cut in half, and the author never really told us if he was repaired. Her other two powers are: A.) a shield, and B.) time reversal that can be used in healing. I personally don't ever want to be in a solo, life threatening battle with only a fucking shield and a power that requires one to be still to use it. And, as we've noticed, all our characters love to get their asses handed to them, so they really do need characters that can heal, so that's why she's still here. In my opinion.

@James: Also, when Orihime's powers are first revealed, the chapter is about Tatsuki saving the "princess" Orihime, but when Tatsuki got injured, Orihime saved her with her powers. There was a small sketch on one of the pages after that had Princess Orihime defending the dragon that was supposed to guard her. She stands up for what she believes in, which is why she's always in the plot line, even if she doesn't have the power to do everything herself.
