My experience is that mangaka has a set pattern.
This mangaka's previous manga tokyo crazy paradise has a heroine with an unknown parent who turns out to be legendary. So probably that habit of the mangaka will once again turn up in SB

so like instead of her mom, maybe her father?

Her mother isn't a lawyer but it seems to me that she is also an actress but in the drama Moko is in, she's a lawyer. And no, I don't think it's Kyoko's dad because Mogami is her mother's maiden name. Either way, it looks like the next arc will be an interesting one. I also hope Kyoko finally gets a new role.

    ????
I don't think her mom is an actress. Didn't it say she was one of the lawyers on call for consulting? Like when a TV series is heavily science based, they'll often have real scientists they can call in to make sure all their facts are correct or at least, within the realm of possibility.
Besides, if Kyoko's mom was an actress, i'd think Kyoko would have had a more extreme reaction towards that section when asked what she wanted to do when she first entered LME. Not to mention, why would the daughter of an actress be expected to get perfect grades in school? A career-oriented lawyer on the other hand.....

gotta agree with rose there. and you never know, we don't know really anything about kyoko's dad and they're times when the husband takes the wife's name (marry into the family kinda situation). and the script said "lawyer supervisor" which rose pretty much explained. they're role is to pretty much help the actor/actress understand they're role of the profession they're playing since they're are words and sections to certain laws that might be used that only lawyers will know and when the actor/actoress needs to interpet the role they're gonna need the guidest of someone who knows the stuff

"Saena" would be a strange name for a guy though. I mean, there are names like "Kaoru" and "Sora" that aren't gender specific, but "Saena" seems pretty feminine. I know "Sae" is feminine. If it had a "ko" or a "to" ending instead, it'd be easier to tell. @_@

We have the Free characters that kinda complain about having girly names. But its an idea really.
