Sorry D: But like 99% of long running yaoi series are bimonthly, so I just came to that conclusion on a whim. About the law restricting releases I was probably thinking about something like doujinshis? I don't know lol.
Anyway, there are monthly BL magazines. Not that many mind you. I don't really want to go in details anymore about that, I'm just lazy, but Be x Boy Gold is bi-monthly. It comes out at each even months the 28th. So February 28th, April 28th, June 28th, August 28th, October 28th, December 28th. That's just what I wanted to say in the end x).
Most subculture manga magazines like yaoi, yuri and spinoffs are bimonthly, wathever the reason is (probably less popularity so less resources if you ask me). Be X Boy Gold costs 690 yens while Weekly Shonen Jump costs 230 yens by the way.

Maybe I was confusing it with with the censorship law (was there a new one that came out in 2011?) Regardless, a lot of yaoi magazines, are bi-monthly, including Be x Boy.

Be x Boy is monthly. Be-Boy Gold is bimonthly. That's what the ''mighty powers of Google'' taught me now that I'm not sleepy and lazy ;)

it's not true that yaoi manga can be release only bimontly there is no such law; there are other magazines for BL release each month like be x boy, drap and hanaoto for yaoi manga; u can google it.
