Hirata is the homophobe to whom Masumi sent Yashiro to correct his 'lusty' ways -LOL! after one of Hirata's underlings getting chummy with Yashiro, and Yashiro deliberately exposing their relationship to Hirata, they were beaten half to death, the other guy was expelled from the group and Yashiro was sent back to Masumi... i think you should start reading again from the beginning... :<
Hirata is Kumichou, Boss of Shinseikai group, where Yashiro is second in command (Wakagashira). From the beginning they didn't get along.
I admit it... I don't understand at all what's going on with all the Yakuza story.. who is Hirata? mmh... I guess I have to re-read all the manga paying more attention to the story (not only to the sex scenes)
