It's bittersweet. Not the cliche ending everyone was hoping for but look on the positive side.Norman is now free to love Van in a healthy relationship as Van is in love with Norman and is willing to wait for him and Norman does have feelings for Van, even after Van's brown eye is gone. And MAYBE, just maybe, there will be another story for Erie, where he will find his soul mate in level 4 and he has the happy ending of knowing that Norman did love him.
