The whole rape/love thing is fairly standard in hentai too. Japanese culture promotes the expectation that women shouldn't be too enthusiastic about sex in order to seem proper and ladylike. Yaoi is overwhelmingly written by straight women, so those tropes leak into the stories they make.
Trust me, I've known plenty of gay men in real life who'd be calling the cops. Rape isn't something that should be hand-waved, and if you're bleeding from having sex, then someone is doing someone WRONG. That goes for men and women both.
