Hmm, I think that, under the circumstances, calling that stolen kiss 'rape' is a bit extreme. If someone is attracted to someone else, there is usually some awkward fumbling attempts to get that across, which end if rejected or not reciprocated. These are long term friends with a history of emotional intimacy between them. It isn't the same category as strangers, or relationships with unequal power distribution. There is love and trust between them, and I like that the stolen kiss and the plan to separate for awhile provided the catalysts for realizing that those tender feelings were mutual. It's a beautiful story, and I found their friendship adorable and believable.
