he said he could only see him as a friend. it really is hard to turn long term friendship into love, in most of the yaoi where that happen the friends had underlying feelings for each other. Ryou might be sincere but he was selfish, he is the cause for Mizuto feeling like an outcast, that no one liked him and Masaoka made him realize that was not the case. I am all for being possessiveness but it is not call to make someone feel like an outsider
I don't like how the first story turned out. It should have been Mizuto X Ryou. Besides Ryou was sincere of his feelings and yet I can't believe he chose Masaoka. Besides I don't think he gave him back a proper response to Ryou's confession : (
