My heart truly goes out for Ciel, though it’s questionable, his reaction towards all the things that happened to him seems very understandable to me, I feel so empathetic towards him. It’s unrealistic but at the same time truly realistically heartbreaking story. Author does a perfect job combining broken&twisted side of Ciel with his childish aspects and his innate purity. On the other hand, Seb may seem like gentle& caring, ‘perfect butler’ but his inner evil, his desire to eat his soul, never changes, only grows stronger, for a hundreds of years old demon, one human lifetime would be nothing, so he is just taking his time enjoying how his prey suffers, to him everything is just an amusement. Honestly, if he wasn’t handsome, he would get hated. The thing about Kuroshitsuji being Yaoi, if it made into yaoi, with this kind of deep storytelling I don’t think yaoi scenes would’ve been depicted lightly, Seb and Ciel could never really have affectionate relationship, after all Ciel is Seb’s food, you ‘enjoy’ the food don’t really ‘love’ it. If it was yaoi I’m guessing it would be Seb making Ciel do things for his own amusement. Then the story would’ve been much darker and I’m not interested in making Ciel more miserable than he already is.
