1. I hate normalizing cheating content for any reason.

2. I hate when this stories show every single woman as horny bitches without brains or a single drop of pride in their ass, opening their legs in front of a good look or a good d*** and doing any kind af shit to get that d***. This is, unrealistic, disrespectful and makes me feel disgusted.

3. I hate stupid ML and FL lead that cause lots of misunderstandings due to not communicating and lack of trust. The story couldn't make it to second chapter without using misunderstandings. I appreciate something more creative.

4. This shit was annoying, and I could barely finish it cause I have this stupid habit of not being able to leave stories unfinished.

5. I only give it 2 star for the sake of the second couple. Everything else was unbearable. A total waste of time. (╬￣皿￣)凸

i stupidly kept hoping the author would somehow turn back around this hopelessly messy, shallow, terrible dogshit story but it was all im vain. The characters were shallow and poorly written, the plot was overused, cliche, and bland; the author couldn’t decide on a trope so they just chucked in everything they could think of which led to non-existent coherency of the story which was hectic and overall a flaming pile of garbage. Sex scenes were 50% rape and poorly done, (literally drier than the Sahara desert) and half the fucking plot didn’t even make sense. Hated how the author inserted so many new characters instead of writing good character development, and just generally how FUCKING SHALLOW all the females were in this book. “I only live for male validation and am obviously a malicious, cliche villainess bitch who can’t do anything but lust after the male lead + then pull the classic “If I can’t have you, noone else can!” so audiences will have a new target of hatred and forget the rape and other terrible things the male lead has done!!” Adding onto that, the author treated rape as a plot device way too casually and brushed over Lotte’s rightful feelings of horror and trauma. Lotte was treated overall terribly as a character throughout the series, and fuck the male lead (he’s so irrelevant I’ve literally forgotten his name) and his equally if not even more terrible stupid shit twin brother. His romance with the new mermaid character with black hair (again, so suddenly introduced that it gave me whiplash 2.0) was so forced it was painful. Also why did his entire fucking personally do a whole 180 degrees??? How did bro go from colluding with the demon to literally make his brother’s life a living hell + harassing and raping his brother’s lover (multiple! times) to suddenly risking his life for them and acting as the deus ex machina to the already hopelessly messy storyline? Very clumsily must I add, because how the fuck did Lotte and the stupid fucking ml die, get amnesia, die again (?), turn back time, then miraculously regain their memories with the power of love :3 with the powers of an unknown sexy witch character??? Who wasn’t even properly introduced? I don’t even want to poke the beehive of the multitude, no plethora, of plot holes in this damn series because I am actually going to burst a damn vein on my forehead and I seriously can not risk my whole damn life over this third-rate, trashy cliche dumpster fire ass bland messy manga series.

long story short, holy shit this series was shit. no sane person over the age of 12 would enjoy this, although the copious amounts of tragically dry and poorly inserted smut scenes suggest the target audience is actually WAY older than the age 12. I’d hope none of you in the comments section are literal children. Don’t waste your time.

An interesting Josei take on the Little Mermaid fable. I personally found Lotte a little too much at first. A little too irritating, a little too much the victim, a little too forgiving etc. But she and her prince weather every storm that comes their way to find their HEA which was nice. Very happy Deo got his mermaid too, he was too likeable to not have his own special person.

Story plot is good definitely. But fl is annoying somewhat like a pushover. Main couple is bit cheesy and says cringe lines (but well, it's been years so yeah acceptable if it's cringy at times). I only stayed for 2nd couple because I'm intrigued by other people's comment I feel like the fl, someone who's on the limelight of this story most of the time, hasn't had too much of a character development?(she's kinda smart to begin with but that's all? Until the end?) Or i just don't like her? I wish she just gave her life up to stop troubling others like in the first place, if her choice back then was to refuse the devil then this complicated story manipulated by some jerk (who loves to play dirty) wouldn't have started and also the 3 wouldn't have to suffer from troubles she created, because of her stubbornness to stay (am i just a bitter whose against martyr-like love?) and die in the end. If weren't for the witch what would she do? Cry like hell while blaming herself? I think it has a high possibility How could the 2nd couple be so likeable? I guess too much exposure tend to let more flaws out so i don't like the 1st couple that much. All in all, it's kinda worth the try and read since if I put my hostility aside, this really is interesting and good.
